D í a d e C a m p o C h a p í n Domingo 29 de Agosto de 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. ¡Todos Cordialmente Invitados! Vengan con comida y bebida o algo para compartir a lo “potluck” y conozca otros Chapines o amigos de Guatemala. Habrá cocina o lugar para asar carne, espacio para jugar y habrán eventos para todos. Chef Amalia dará una demostración de la cocina Chapina e internacional, Carmen proveerá actividades para niños/as y los jóvenes “Danza Quetzal” bailarán al son de la marimba. “Falcon Heights Community Park” está localizado al norte de los campos de la Feria o de la Universidad de Minnesota en San Pablo; esto queda en la esquina de Cleveland y Roselawn Avenue W. Eventos: 2:00pm, Chef Amalia, (www.AmaliaLLC.com) proud Guatemalan and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, will give a cooking demonstration sharing her culinary insights with new ideas to add flavor to your summer. Recordemos que “el amor entra por la cocina” y la comida es vida. 3:00pm, Carmen tendrá actividades infantiles con proyectos de arte y tambien organizará un baile “Danza y la Feria” incluyendo niños/as y adultos; esto culmina con la quema del “Torito.” 4:00 Dance Performance “Danza Quetzal”: a group of young women and men will dance to the marimba music symbolizing a ceremonial Mayan ritual of Guatemala's highlands.
